ARE YOU ANCHORED IN CHRIST TOO?

Welcome to Anchored In Christ2.com!  This is our second attempt to provide a suitable home for our Christmas letters and… more.  The first was borne2x.com, and if you tried to go there you were automatically diverted here.  Hope you will stay awhile.

 ABOUT THE WALLPAPER

     Although I have learned how to maintain my computer and navigate on the internet, creating a website from scratch is beyound my ability.  As a matter of fact, all that I have been able to write over the past decade and a half would have found its way to the editors waste basket without the help of, at first, my son Michael, and then, Michael and his pretty and talented bride, Sheri.
     I did my best to get as much information together for Michael.  One of the necessary parts that was still missing the night before Michael was to work on the website was the background, or “wallpaper.”  I had pictured in my mind and wanted to show the sea and the sky, which I believed would go well with the title and theme of this website.  But, whenever I found something that I liked, it came along with copyright requirements that were more than I wanted to agree to.
     I was down to the wire and I had nothing to show Michael.  In my frustration I cried out to the Lord and told Him that if He wanted me to have this website and use it to help bring people to a saving faith in Jesus, then He would have to give me more help, because I just wasn’t capable of making it happen; I couldn’t even produce this most basic and necessary part.
     The next morning I got up about a half hour earlier than usual and decided to try one more time before going to work to find a suitable picture to use.  I typed the same words into my web browser that I had many times before, and right at the top was something I hadn’t seen, or noticed, before.  I clicked on it and came to the site that had pictures of “sea and sky” that were suitable for wallpaper, and although they were copyrighted, permission to use them was freely given.  The picture was titled, “Blue Sea,” and can be found on DesktopNexus. 
     Now, to the really amazing part.  The page that had the picture we used also had eleven other pictures, and any one of them would have worked.  No doubt, some of you will think, “So what, it was just a coincidence.”  Perhaps you are right, but I don’t believe there is such a thing as a coincidence; God is in control and He answered my prayer.  More than that, He reminded me that He is capable of providing for all my needs, and in abundance.  There were twelve pictures of the sea and sky on that page.  And, that page, was one of 123 pages with twelve pictures of sea and sky on each.  
     My God is an awesome God.  I hope you will allow me to tell you more about Him through the pages of Anchored In Christ 2.
